By Monica Corrado, MA, CNC, CGP Healthy fats are critical for good physical and mental health. A lack of healthy fats or eating low-fat can lead to depression, an inability to concentrate or focus, brain fog, memory loss, stressing out, high anxiety, and dementia. These are all brain function issues…issues of mental health or illness. Animal fats and cholesterol are essential for the development and function of the brain and nervous system. All children and adults need healthy fats. Children need them for focusing and attention issues as well as for those with ADD, ADHD, SPD and OCD. Those...Read More
By Monica Corrado As a culture, we eat a lot. However, the majority of people in our country DO NOT eat REAL food. So what are many of us eating? What Are We Really Eating? We are eating food fractions, like soy protein isolate, maltodextrin, and pea protein. These do not provide the nutrition of whole foods. We are eating things that used to be food, or still look like food, but really aren’t. Consider genetically modified (GMO) corn and tomatoes. They look like corn and tomatoes, they taste like corn and tomatoes, but they are NOT the corn...Read More

By Monica Corrado, MA, CNC, CGP A very wise teacher of mine told me many years ago that “the thing is not the thing”. That was her way of encouraging me to look behind what was showing up on the physical plane for what was causal to its showing up. I have done so ever since, and I use this as a premise in my private practice and in my life. No matter how complicated a situation — or illness — may seem, there is ALWAYS a vibrational cause behind it. There is a reason that exists on another plane. There is always “the thing behind the thing”. Chronic disease has a vibrational cause. In fact, every physical symptom does, “chronic” or not. Things — illnesses and cancers — do not just happen to us. They do not just come “out of the blue”. They are not random. Nor are they “punishments” by a vengeful God. Another wise teacher, or group of teachers, have said that physical symptoms come out of the “oblivious “. There was something going on chronically, that is, consistently, for a very long time, in the background that was not noticed. It was a consistent, ever present, default drive. You may liken it to the DOS program that runs behind the scene in computers. We never see it. We don’t notice it. But it is...Read More
