We attract whatever mood we are putting out. If we’re angry and negative, more negativity will come our way. If we smile in spite of difficulties, positive things will begin to take shape. The truth is, all of us have the ability to turn any bad mood around rather quickly if we set our mind to it. The secret is to immerse ourselves in something we love. And it just takes 5 minutes – 5 minutes of complete and utter love.

Find something that always makes you smile, whether it’s your favorite song, a steaming cup of hot cocoa, standing in the sunshine or looking at a favorite photo or scene. Whatever it is, completely immerse yourself in it for 5 minutes. Rather than focus on the frustrating events of your day, fully engage in this positive activity. Blast your favorite song on your headphones or radio and sing along and dance. Allow happiness to flood you. Most of the time, this small break from the issues of your day will be enough to turn your day and your mood around.
