Each morning, as I stand in the shower, I repeat this mantra:
I choose that my thoughts, my words and my deeds reflect only my higher self and not my ego.
I remember who I am, a Divine Spark of God.
I walk in my essence of God.
These words set my intention for the day, creating an energy that helps me to balance the ups and downs and the challenges that life throws at me, keeping me on a steady course. And when I am mindful, and can maintain that energy, wow, what a difference it makes in my day and my life.
I love the word essence: the intrinsic nature or indispensable quality of something. To me, God’s intrinsic nature, his/her indispensable quality, is love. What if the quality we carried throughout the day was that essence? What a wonderful world it would be. Hard for us to imagine, so entrenched are we in our view of the world as we know it.
The fact is, we are all the essence of God. You, me and everyone – even the crabby guy down the street and yes, even the suicide bomber. Somewhere along the way we forgot who we were. We began to believe that we were less than, or at the very least that we had lost our connection to God/Source. I guess it was part of the plan, that we forget where we came from when we arrive in this life.
What if our true purpose for incarnating into this 3rd dimensional world is to awaken, to remember who we are? A wondrous and beautiful Divine Spark of God. Our only job is to learn to delight in the journey. To look at the happenings in our life and the world from a spiritual observer perspective and know that everything that happens is nothing more than a nudge to help us wake up; to trust the unseen forces helping us awaken.
We came here to experience physicality and the duality of this world. Yet our goal is to learn to walk in both worlds, as a human being and as a spiritual being. To walk in our essence of God.
We have all worked very hard ushering in a new era of light (peace) and though it might not look like it based on the news and events happening across the globe, the seeds have been sown and are taking root. The world is changing – one person, one soul at a time, in ever-increasing numbers. The light is building and as it grows, change will come. We are creating a new earth, one bathed in the essence of God. Keep up the good work!
Today, may you remember who you are.
May you walk in your essence of God.
